Krabi Travel review - Finally come back from Krabi travelling, this is my first visit to Krabi and also the country of Thailand. Our 10 persons trip were held from 2nd July until 5th July, 4 days 3 nights. It seem like a bit tight for the schedule, some part of the places we have miss out like Hong Island, 4 Island and James Bond Island.

Krabi is a beautiful place to go. You can even stay for a week in Krabi and can't finish sufting around. Our activities at Krabi:

Day 1: Arriving Krabi airport, taking shuttle bus to Ao Nang. We stay at Aree Tara resort in Ao Nang. Aree Tara is a four star and modern resort. The room provides elegant and comfort where surround by the lush tropical garden. After check in, we called the van service from hotel and take our early dinner at Krabi Town. The driver can speak little english and he took us to the local seafood restaurant - Kulakasai.

After dinner, we walk around at the Krabi trademark Gorillas traffic light and the nearby night market, Vogue Shopping Centre. We also visit to their hypermarket Big C store before return to Hotel.

Day 2: We take the Phi Phi Island 1 day tour package from the Aree Tara Resort @ 1,000 Thai Bath per pax. Sound like expensive than tour agent outside but the service quality is much confidence. July is the raining season in Thailand, that's why there is also low season for travel in Krabi. Luckily the day was sunny while we hang out to the Phi Phi Island. The tour pick us from the Hotel in the early about 9am and drop us at the Ao Nang bay. The speedboat was ready waiting for us when we arrived. The speedboat is power by 3 engine and cater for 30-50 passenger. Due to the low season, our boat is around 30 persons. At first and second spot, we were drop for snorkerling. After snorkerling, we were park at MayaBay. I like the scene at Maya Bay where the beach is clean, here is also full of tourists. Then, we break for buffet lunch at Phi Phi Island. They served spicy Tomyam soup and spaghetti.

The last island we went was Bamboo Island, it has a large white sand beach. We were stop about 1 hour at bamboo island and depart to return to Ao Nang. It took around 1 hour more to arrive Ao Nang and the tour agent send us back to Hotel by shuttle Van. It was already evening 5pm when we return from Phi Phi Island tour, we take a short rest before we went out for dinner. We take a walk to Ao Nang happening area which about 15 minutes from our hotel. We tried to do some research on next day tour package at Tourist Information centre. Finally we able to get the package cheaper as compare to the offer from Hotel. The tour package is Ao Thalane Kayaking + Elephant Treking, also at 1,000 Thai Bath per pax. But at least we save about 300 TB due to group of 10 pax. Next, we have our dinner at Tanta's Restaurant which was recommend by the tourist information staff. The food at Tanta's Restaurant were really nice but the price was expensive as compare to the Kulakasai seafood. After the dinner, we take a walk at the Ao Nang street, here they have Subway, McDonald's, 7eleven, Starbucks, Swensens and plenty of fast food choices which was really convenient to the tourist. May be you should try the local food like banana shake and banana pie at the stall outside the McDonald's streetway.

Day 3:
Early morning after the breakfast, we wait for the tour guide coming at the hotel lobby. The tour shall pick up us at 8.3oam but it still not shown after 8.45am. Hopefully they arrived on 8.50am by their Tuk Tuk. The vehicle able to carry about 12 passenger where 4 person in front seat with air condition and 8 person behind with open air. The journey took about 1 hour and suffering for those who seat behind due to the road to Ao Thalane is crooked. Finally we arrive at Ao Thalane at 9.30am. The tour guide gave us the water proof bag to put in our belonging to bring over the tour, our own bag were deposit at the room provided. Life jacket was provide only 8 but we have 10 pax. So for those who profession in swimming didn't wear it. Before we start our kayaking, we need to split into group of 2 or 3 person in 1 boat. Ao Thalane is the most beautiful mangrove forest in Thailand, bay and canyon are the passage way of nature and plenty of wildlife such as monkey. It was really challange and exciting games for us especially it was our 1st try on kayaking.
